What is the Digital SAT?
The College Board administers the SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) which is largely used as an academic measuring tool for U.S. college admissions. In an effort to accommodate students since the COVID-19 pandemic, they have released a new, digital version of the SAT that is taken on a computer, tablet, or school device.
Why is the SAT going digital?
One way the College Board intends on accommodating students is by making it more equitable for underrepresented communities. According to Priscilla Rodriguez, Vice President of college-readiness assessments at the College Board, “the digital SAT will be easier to take, easier to give, and more relevant.”
